The 2nd International Conference on Emerging Quantum Technology (ICEQT2023) will take place from September 17-22, 2023, in Hefei, China, which is organized by the CAS Center for Excellence in Quantum Information and Quantum Physics. During the conference, the ceremony for Micius Quantum Prize 2020 and 2021 will also be held to award the laureates. The Micius Quantum Prize 2020 goes to the field of quantum metrology with three laureates, Carlton Caves, Hidetoshi Katori and Jun Ye, whilst the Micius Quantum Prizes 2021 focuses on the observation of quantum effects in superconducting devices with three laureates, John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and Yasunobu Nakamura.
ICEQT is committed to providing an appropriate and timely platform for the community to celebrate the latest achievements and exchange new ideas, and plans to go forward to becoming a biennial international conference series.
ICEQT2019, as the first session of ICEQT, was successfully organized in September 2019 and highly appreciated by all the attendees. The predecessor of ICEQT was International Conference on Quantum Foundation and Technology (ICQFT), which had held four times in the past thirteen years including ICQFT2006 in Hangzhou, ICQFT2009 in Shanghai, ICQFT2012 in Dunhuang, and ICQFT2016 in Shanghai.
